In the United States a baby is born every eight seconds. Sometimes it’s in a hospital surrounded by doctors and nurses. Sometimes it’s in a home surrounded by love.
And sometimes it’s in the middle of hell.
No one can predict when the miracle of birth will happen—and sometimes it comes at the worst possible time and at the worst possible place. Like during category 5 hurricane. Or in a hospital overrun by armed gunman. And when that happens all a parents can do is hold it together until their child is safely born.
